The Majorelle garden

TThe Majorelle Garden is a garden known for its vivid blue colours, and is located in Marrakech, in the Gueliz district to be exact. It was founded by the famous French painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s, then bought by the great and famous French couturier Yves Saint Laurent and his companion Pierre Berge in the 1980s. Since then, the garden has become one of Marrakech's most popular tourist attractions. The Majorelle Garden is renowned for its magnificent plants and bright colours, with shady paths to take refuge from the sun, fountains, water basins and relaxation areas. It is also home to the Berber Museum, which exhibits traditional Berber objects and textiles, and the Villa Oasis, an Art Deco-style house that once belonged to Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge. The garden was renovated in the 1980s by the famous architect Bill Willis, who added elements and touches of majorelle blue, hence Majorelle Garden, a bright colour that has become emblematic of the garden. All in all, the Majorelle Garden is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit in Marrakech, offering a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the city and an opportunity to discover the culture and history of the region.
